Barren Tangle (2008) Elizabeth Miklavcic

Elizabeth's photograph was taken in a forested area of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It depicts a thick tangle of barren branches in the deep snowfield of this western environment. The repetition of the shapes creates the illusion, if one stares at it long enough, as if the upper branch cluster is a torso that has an arm reaching out to the side.
