Jimmy Miklavcic is Executive Director of Another Language. Jimmy is responsible for many of the technical aspects of Another Language's projects. This includes grant writing, lighting, audio, set design & construction, web development, video production & streaming, and networking.

A mixture of computer science, visual arts, music composition, acting, and multimedia experience textures Jimmy's artistic background. In 1972, he began his visual arts studies at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Focusing mainly on painting, he also became involved in other artists' projects in theater, performance art, and music. In 1978 he continued his studies in the Performing Arts, including acting, technical theatre and electronic music at Cabrillo Community College, Aptos CA. Shortly after arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jimmy returned to study computer science at the University of Utah. He graduated in 1987 with a BS in Computer Science. Jimmy is currently the Lead test Engineer at Operators Suppressor Systems.

Jimmy has received grants and support from the Utah Arts Council, Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts & Park Program, and Salt Lake City Arts Council. He has been awarded the 1995 Salt Lake City Mayor's Artists Award for the Performing Arts along with his wife, Beth Miklavcic.

Mr. Miklavcic has appeared in television and cinema that now includes an appearance on the USA Network series, Cover Me on the episode titled Killing Me Softly. He has starred in a Brigham Young University Short Film as Tugboat in Tugboat's Requiem. Jimmy and Beth are now creating telematic and collaborative internet performances called InterPlays.
