Patty Thomas

I am 55 yrs old. Mother of two sons, Grammie of 4. I am an eclectic Wiccan, and I enjoy everything art! My family moved from San Jose, CA to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1972. After high school I began studies in Commercial Art at our community college. Back then everything was done by hand!

I have always had a talent for drawing. I've been drawing since I was about 7 years old, starting with sketches from pictures in my story books. I mainly did pencil, and charcoal, but I've been dabbling in oils for the last 10 years or so. I prefer landscapes, and I am always painting Native American scenes, Tee Pee's, Aspen trees, forests, and water.

I am a hobby artist, although I long for the time when I can retire and paint or draw every day, all day. Art is very therapeutic for me. I enjoy listening to Native American flute music while painting. It enhances the experience, and many times it has produced some great things in my renderings.
