A Blank Stare and A Whisper: Overture - Close-Ups
Choreographed by Elizabeth A. Miklavcic, this thirty-minute work was inspired by the music of Pamela Z. This dance is about the struggle between the superficial personality that society pretends is reality; versus revealing the true, complex, strange, fanciful, emotional and animalistic nature of humans. The first section introduces the dancers, movement themes, the costumes reflect society's "proper" look. |

Choreographed by Elizabeth A. Miklavcic inspired by Pamela Z's music, the second section in this thirty-minute work is a solo for Michael Larkin titled The Wall. This dance was designed specifically for Michael's burst and attack energy, the dance was about hitting walls and the effort to break through them. |

Choreographed by Elizabeth A. Miklavcic inspired by Pamela Z's music, the third section is a duet between two women, but they really represent one woman split in two. They judge, interact, respond, reflect as if looking in a mirror, looking for connection. In the end as they join into one being. |

Choreographed by Elizabeth A. Miklavcic inspired by Pamela Z's music, the fourth section is a duet, in the sense that the woman figure is present, but it really is a solo for Jimmy H. Miklavcic. The Ache focuses on a couple's tension with the man bearing the brunt of the blame, anger and frustration. His stilted movements are a response to receiving and trying to throw off the negative energy. |
