Society in a Nutshell
Society in a Nutshell - This was the last concert in the Another Language Studio at 345 West Pierpont and was performed over three weekends in March. The concert included works by guest choreographers Rosalind Newmark and artist-in-residence, Hilary Carrier.
Western Arts Alliance
Western Arts Alliance - Another Language Performing Arts Company's photograph of Wendy Fink by John Brandon, was featured on the front page of the Western Alliance of Arts Administrators Foundation newsletter, Western Ways.
Utah Arts Festival
Utah Arts Festival - Another Language, one of the featured organizations on the Festi-Live Stage, performed five works. It included a restaging of Photographic Memory (1988), created and performed by Elizabeth and Jimmy Miklavcic.
Western Arts Alliance
Western Arts Alliance - Another Language Performing Arts Company's photograph of Michael Larkin by John Brandon, was featured in the Western Alliance of Arts Administrators Foundation newsletter, Western Ways.
Promotional
Promotional - This was the company's first promotional video. It was used at the Western Arts Alliance Performing Arts Conference.
Educational
Educational - Educational events included a new work Storm, choreographed by Elizabeth Miklavcic for the Judge Memorial High School Dance Company and a dance workshop for high school students at Brighton High School in Salt Lake City.
The Artists' Exchange
The Artists' Exchange - Two Artists' Exchanges were held in 1994. The event took place on Sunday mornings, it was a time of open forum between artists and audience members. Artists of all genres were invited to present their work. After each presentation, comments and questions were shared between the artist and the audience. Not long after the final Artists' Exchange, Another Language moved out of the Pierpont Studio and began rehearsing at the Capitol Theater in downtown Salt Lake City.
