Description
Actress Rachel Deirmenbjian recites excerpts from The Sister Bonds by Toni A.H. McNaron and Sisters by Adrienne Rich, for guest choreographer Kathryn Elliot's beautiful and touching dance A History of Timeless Connections; about sisters closely growing up together, and then facing the time of life when their paths go in separate directions. Elizabeth Miklavcic and Gunild Pak dance the visualization of the tension and love between two sisters. Showing how they interact with each other, moving toward and away from one another, unwilling to completely separate until the end. Even then, still reaching out to each other to stay connected, because they just simply are connected. Their lives intertwined even though they are apart. "When sisters separate they haunt each other...how simple it is for her to leave." - a quote from the spoken text. |
