Description
Sarah Hudelson was inspired by Fire Within the Rose written by Kolette Montague. Her dance uses movement motifs to describe a sojourn, or temporary journey, through the art of putting words together (in this case movements) as directed by the muses within us.

Sojourn of the Florid Muses is a piece born from a collaboration between Another Language and the League of Utah Writers. The choreographers were presented with a stack of writings and each picked one or two poems or short stories as inspiration for creating a dance or performance art work for the Moving Words debut concert performed July 6, 1991. That event was a fundraiser for Another Language Performing Arts Company and for the League of Utah Writers. Sarah's dance was reprised for the August 9, 1991 Brown Bag Concert at the Red Lion Plaza, which was performed in the blazing mid-day 90+ degree (fahrenheit) heat.
