Description
Big Dance/Little Space was the first production by Callous Physical Theatre in Pocatello, Idaho since directors Josephine Garibaldi and Paul Zmolek relocated from Tacoma, Washington, to join the Theatre and Dance faculty at ISU. As a performer Paul Zmolek found the 5 foot by 5 foot stage almost scary but, as a choreographer the possibilities within the limitations of such a small stage were quite exciting. Big Dance/Little Space was been made possible, in part, by support from the Pocatello Arts Commission, Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts

Another Language Performing Arts Company was commissioned to create a new work for this challenging festival. Face-to-Face choreographed and performed by Elizabeth A. Miklavcic is a deeply personal examination of the emotions experienced when a loved one is taken away to major surgery. The uncertainty for the one left behind, the fear of loss and the abyss of waiting are expressed in this dance.
