Description
Together Alone, choreographed by Christopher Murray Ivins and Sari Lukkapinen and performed by Gunild Pak and Christopher, portrays the relationship of two people with the desire to come together and build a life but are unable, due to their distrust of emotional relationships. The couple opens their jackets to expose their secrets to each other and the audience, only to quickly cover up. Guni recites, in Dutch, text written by Suzanne Vega, adding to the difficulty in understanding each other. The attempt ultimately fizzles, they cannot be together because they are, simply alone.
