Description
Gunild created this solo to help with her recovery from a personal tragedy. This deeply intimate dance contains frozen moments to represent the inability to move on from that point-in-time. Then by sheer will, she continues to fight through those frozen moments, not letting her attacker win. She finds the strength to move, and continues forward while simultaneously expressing her anger and frustration. Gunild's bravery to bring to the public an incident so deeply wounding is worthy of respect. Recovery was performed with virtuosity and skill that only a few expertly trained dancers achieve.
