Description
This is one of many rehearsals of Guild Pak's Company Tasks and Clapping Stacks. The entire structure was in place and it was simply a matter of getting the timing of the piece just right. It was nearly impossible to count within the music so the company had to work at feeling where we all were within the timing of the music. This rehearsal must have been in the middle of the process because the music ends well before the dancers completed the choreography. More work needed to be done.

There is a moment near the end of the rehearsal that you can hear Elizabeth's and Jimmy's daughter, Hanelle, cry out and Jimmy becomes distracted for a moment, losing is place in the piece.

Company Tasks and Clapping Stacks was a work that abstractly captured the process of working together to bring creative expression to the audience. This performance shows the tenacity and joy of creating and performing artistic works. Ms. Pak's choreography brings four individuals to work in pairs or in a full group through the daily aspects of being a part of a performing arts company.
